Mz Shyneka

Mz Shyneka is a fast rising star taking the airwaves by storm. Shyneka’s crazy, sassy, cool and up to date entertainment news makes her an industry favorite. Shyneka began her career as an intern after high school, in 1999, for Radio One’s WHTA HOT 107.9. In 2001, she joined forces with Emperor Searcy to host the afternoon drive show “In the Kingdom with Emperor Searcy and Mz. Shyneka”. It was during this time the duo was known to keep the listening audience captured with their playful banter.

As a radio host, she is obsessed with delivering breaking and up to date entertainment news with her daily segment “Word on the Street”. Although entertainment news is her niche, she is widely known for cultivating personal relationships with both international and local celebrities making forinformative and memorable interviews. This funky fashionista is known to network with executives and celebrities from every facet of the entertainment industry as well as host some of the most well-known clubs and major events in Atlanta.

She has received many accolades and praises as a radio host in the Atlanta market from receiving Southern Entertainment Award for Radio Female Personality of the Year to being named Best On Air Co-Host Talent in the Southern Region, her hard work and dedication to her craft has allowed her to accelerate up the entertainment ladder.

Never leaving behind her desire to branch off into television, Mz Shyneka has been featured as a writer/reporter on several online blogs, websites, and television shows. Having a successful radio career has granted Mz Shyneka an array of opportunities such as appearing on such shows as BET’s The DEAL and New Year’s Eve “Countdown”, along with hosting Jermaine Dupri’s The Most Access, and launching her own entertainment and lifestyle news site MzShyneka.com!

You can hear her hosting several albums and mixtapes including those of longtime friends Ludacris , T.I and Playa Circle. She appeared twice on Oxygen Networks Bad Girls Club.

Not “Shy” to use her celebrity to help others, Shyneka gives back to the community by making appearances at local schools, recreational centers and the like speaking to the youth about her career, peer-pressure, education and self-esteem.

You can catch Mz. Shyneka currently co-hosting the afternoon show on Radio One’s WHTA HOT 107.9 from 2pm – 6pm and hosting the late night radio show from the 10pm to 2am weekdays on in Atlanta, GA.
