A routine traffic stop turned into a jail visit for Canadian hip-hop artist Tory Lanez this past Wednesday Miramar PD in South Florida.
According to the arrest records, Tory, who’s real name is Daystar Peterson, was driving a 2014 Rolls-Royce when Miramar PD pulled him over for expired tags. The officer also noted in his report that there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The odor prompted a search in which authorities found a small amount of marijuana was discovered in the glove box as well as concealed, loaded, unholstered gun in the center console.
Lanez was taken into custody where he was charged with illegally carrying a concealed weapon, possession of fewer than 20 grams of cannabis, failure to register a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating a vehicle that is not properly insured.
He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
Tory is scheduled to be for Future’s Nobody Safe Tour set to kick off next month. The tour also features Migos, Young Thug, Kodak Black and A$AP Ferg.
