Amid Backlash Ivanka Trump Clothing Relabeled As Adrienne Vittadini

Adrienne or Ivanka?

Ivanka Trump brand isn’t having the best year. The apparel line was dropped by several retailers early this year following her father, Donal Trump becoming the President. Many of those retailers reported weak sales and negative feedback from consumers in which a customer reportedly spit on a blouse in front of a cashier before storming out of the store. However, the brand apparently just underwent a secret makeover that she knew nothing about.

According to reports, discount retailer Stein Mart has been selling the brands apparel under a different label. The Jacksonville, Florida-based chain has removed Ivanka Trump’s labels and relabeled them as Adrienne Vittadini Studio. The company’s manufacturer and distributor, G-III has a license agreement with Ivanka Trump apparel and acknowledges that it sold the relabelled apparel to Stein Mart without knowledge of the Ivanka Trump brand.

“G-III accepts responsibility for resolving this issue, which occurred without the knowledge or consent of the Ivanka Trump organization, G-III has already begun to take corrective actions, including facilitating the immediate removal of any mistakenly labeled merchandise from its customer. The Ivanka Trump brand continues to grow and remains very strong.”

G-III also owns brands including DKNY outright.
