The Monica Kaufman of Radio

The terrain is rugged and often time strenuous on the journey to success and no one knows this better than Mizz Shyneka. As a child, past time were spent watching the local news channel under the watchful eye of her mother. The youthful eyes of Shyneka gleamed with fascination while watching WSB-TV anchorwoman, Monica Kaufman.  Mizz Shyneka, oftentimes found herself emulating, the Emmy winning news reporter.

“I knew at a young age, I could do what Monica was doing. I watched her, I practiced her moves, but in the end I chose radio,” she gushes. When chosen my career, I want to make sure my voice counted for something. I do believe that I’m doing the same thing as Monica Kaufman, but in a different light.”

By understanding the power and influence she yields, the queen of controversy is seizing the moment to make pivotal business moves outside of radio. Fans and viewers can now view her pleasant demeanor and warm smile on The Most Access television show on the CW Network.

“I got the opportunity to be apart of the show through Jermaine Dupri, which is a spin-off from his website www.themostaccess.com I was doing entertainment news for the site and it turned into a television show,” she explains. Now we are trying to get a show on radio to dominate the market i.e. radio, television and internet,” she states in a tone filled with admiration.

The principles of helping and being apart of the community coupled with entrepreneurialism is something Mizz Shyneka knows very well. As the on-air personality for Hot 107.9 her involvement in community based events is widely known. Famed for her likeable personality and approachable demeanor, it is not rare to see the pint size diva out in the club exchanging pleasantries with her adoring fans that love controversy.

The Queen of Controversy is not all about reporting drama, during her more serious moments she talks about helping the youth who are fascinated with the latest urban tales their favorite rappers spit on the mic.  “Many of today’s youth come from a less-than-stellar surrounding and there is more to life than what is happen in their neighborhood”, she offers. “I want to get the youth to think outside the box and focus on their future”, she adds.

Mizz Shyneka is on Hot 107.9 FM Monday – Thursday from 10 PM to 2 AM and  Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. The Most Access is on the CW Network for date and time, check your local listings.
