The Olympic rings are seen during a pyrotechnics display at the pre-show before the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games at the Olympic Stadium

The opening ceremonies are over and it’s day 4 for the 2012 Olympic games in London.  USA has not disappointed with their defeats in swimming and basketball. China leads with 12 medals but USA is not behind with 11. Can’t wait to see what the games bring us next!

Side note: was I the only person who notice how the Olympic organizers left Atlanta out of the opening ceremonies??? can we say SHADE!!

Dana Vollmer not only won a gold medal for the US in the 100-meter butterfly but beat the world record when she powered to the wall at 55.98 seconds.

Kimberly Rhode set record also on Sunday becoming the first American to receive medals in five consecutive Olympics. She won a gold medal yesterday after hitting 99 out of the 100 targets in the skeet shooting event. She won gold in the 1996 Olympic games, bronze in the Sydney games, another gold in Athens, and then a silver at the Beijing games in 2008.

I love to see GIRLS RULING!!! Let’s go U.S.A.!!!!!
