The infamous Batman: Dark Night Rises shooter arrived at court earlier this morning to hear the charges he faces in the Aurora massacre shooting.

James Holmes left court today with some serious charges. Judge William Sylvester charged the alleged Colorado movie theater massacre killer with 142 counts. He faces 12 counts of first degree murder and 12 counts of murder with extreme difference for each victim. He also faces 116 counts of attempted murder, one count of sentence enhancement criminal violence, and one count of possession of explosives.

Holmes is being held in solitary confinement at a detention facility. He did not enter a plea.
